The Halfway Mark

Summer Internship

Our summer interns have had a very busy month of ministry. They've quickly learned that it's all Kingdom business, whether they are working on the mission base or sharing the Gospel with someone in their home.

Our Outreach Staff have spent the past month assisting mission teams, doing relationship evangelism in the villages, and helping with behind-the-scene tasks in the office and on the base.

They've easily become part of the Thrive family, and we're grateful to have them with us for another month. Please pray for their health and safety as well as for fruitful times of ministry.

You can meet our Outreach Staff here. Take some time to get to know them; you won't be disappointed!

“Yesterday we spent time with a family, but it felt like the day was wasted because we didn't really see any growth take place. However, we went back to the same family today and were able to dive into conversations about what the Bible says on things like relationships, anger, and forgiveness.
I was able to share a testimony of forgiveness from when someone hurt me very badly. We got to speak into their lives and were able to show them that there is hope!
Just goes to show that nothing is wasted.”
-Joe Abber

Mission Teams

We've had a surge of mission teams this month! Six teams came from all over America to serve alongside us and share the life and love of Jesus with the beautiful Basotho people. A group of 26 young people from Falls Church (Falls Church, VA) was here early in the month. Mountainview Church (Denver, CO) sent a group of thirteen people and Church for All Nations (Denver, CO) sent a small team of 9 young adults.

Right now we have four teams with us! We have a group of 15 young adults from Summit Church (Orlando, FL), a small team from Mt. Pleasant Church (Mt. Pleasant, MI), and both our student and adult Thrive Trip teams are here! It's been a jam-packed month to say the least.

It's exciting to see discipleship taking place in such a huge way, with all our teams engaging in personal evangelism. We've seen God move mightily in and through each team member and many lives have been changed for eternity!

You can read testimonies in our mission team section on the Field Blog.

Twenty4Seven News

  Thrive Trip

This month has looked very different for our interns because of the busy mission team season. Four interns are helping to lead Thrive Trip, so they literally moved out of their intern housing and moved in with their teammates. We know that this time for them to pour into the Thrive Trippers has been invaluable, for everyone involved!

The rest of our interns have been working tirelessly and joyfully on a huge book-binding project for Leadership Summit. The new curriculum needed to be cut and bound, and they've tackled that task with such great attitudes. The 5,000 books they are binding will soon be used to teach students the importance of saving sex for marriage. Their hard work will result in changed lives!

Check out last month's internship newsletter, written entirely by interns.
